Early Reviews on Eckerd Encouraging
WASHINGTON, NOV 1, 2001 -- Early reviews of CNC's performance in the early stages of the Eckerd program are very encouraging. The program launched as planned on November 5, 2001, with 131 stores served. A 132nd store opens November 19, 2001 in Delaware.
Kevin Osborne, Eckerd's Category Manager, visited CNC's Washington distribution center and facilities on November 9, 2001. In an email to CNC's co-CEO/COO T.J. Zlotnitsky, he wrote: ''I enjoyed the visit and am very pleased with the early efforts and your team.''
Likewise, Eckerd's Regional Manager Robert Allen and his district manager staff visited the distribution center on November 14, 2001. For Mr. Allen, it was his second visit in three weeks.
