Fas Mart & CNC Sign Agreement
WASHINGTON, DC, DEC. 16, 2001 -- Current News Company announced today the signing of the Fas Mart Convenience Stores Inc. chain, of Richmond, Va., to a 2-year contract, for the distribution of magazines & paperback books to stores in the chain, including a full line of adult titles.
Fas Mart operates over 170 stores in Delaware, Maryland, Virginia and Massachusetts. The chain's estimated annual revenues are more than $350 million. With a string of recent acquisitions, Fas Mart is now one of the fastest-growing convenience store chains in the country and one of the 40 largest convenience store operators in North America.
''We are excited to add Fas Mart as a client, and we look forward to capitalizing on this excellent opportunity,'' said CNC Vice President of Marketing Lonnie Crittenden. ''Fas Mart is a good fit for CNC. We're going to work together with Fas Mart to bring a strong selection of titles, including a full line of sophisticates.''
