How is CNC Different From its Competitors?
The greatest difference between CNC and the competition is our mindset. Whereas most wholesalers consider themselves distribution companies, at CNC we view ourselves as a marketing & sales company with a distribution channel. Our focus is entirely on developing ways and means to grow the sales for our clients - and our results clearly show we are consistently successful at it. In the past 3 years, Current News has consistently grown sales for its customers, including 7-Eleven, Eckerd, and Dash In, chains that previously were all experiencing sale declines.
What Does it Take to Grow the Sales?
Growing the sales is about doing very basic things extremely well, but it also takes knowing your marketplace. We take pride in our extensive training of our Route Sales Managers, who are responsible for delivery and merchandising, but are also expected to contribute input to title selection and identify sale opportunities. We take every precaution to ensure our orders are picked right (using the MJ Perfect Pick hardware). We serve as many customers as possible pre-weekend. Our pro-active customer service representatives look for opportunities to up-sell our customers in every conversation. We don't dump products. We strive for a 45% sell-through overall. It all adds up to a company-wide commitment to Legendary Service, and great service results in higher sales.
