Current News is a full-service primary distributor, recognized by every national distributor, and serving thousands of retailers across 30 states, throughout the East Coast, and into the Midwestern states of Illinois, Indiana and Ohio.  CNC has been selected a Key Distributor by Comag as a part of the IMPACT program.  Less than 20% of wholesalers in the U.S. were selected as key distributors.  In 2004, at the annual PBAA conference, Dennis Porti of Curtis recognized Current News in his keynote speech as 'perhaps the brightest light in the industry today' on the wholesale side.

The focus of CNC's magazine & book business has been and will remain on convenience, drug, and gift shops.  Better than 80% of Current News retailers receive full-service, including in many cases in-store return handling via handheld computing.  The company operates six regional depots, but conducts all picking and packing in its Washington, DC distribution center, where it utilizes perfect pick technology.
